Jamie-Lee Faulkner has been chosen as Miss Universe Great Britain 2016

Jamie-Lee Faulkner will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2016, which may be held in the Philippines in January 2017.

Twenty-seven-year-old, Jaime-lee Faulkner from Sheffield, is Miss Universe Great Britain 2016.

The highlight of Jaime-lee’s year will undoubtedly be the trip to take part in Miss Universe 2016 for several weeks at an exotic location overseas. She also receives a series of prizes including evening wear, jewellery, cosmetics a photographic portfolio and leadership coaching as well as a year of international travel.

Jaime-lee said: “I am really excited to represent Great Britain at Miss Universe. I have been involved in pageantry for seven years and really believe I have served an apprenticeship. I am thrilled now to have the crown of my dreams and am determined to make the most of every opportunity this year.”

Giovanni Malacrino, headline sponsor of Miss Universe Great Britain 2016, said: “I backed the competition to support young women as they aim high in life and try to make a difference at the same time. What they have done for good causes is amazing and I really look forward to seeing Jaime-lee go from strength to strength.”

Miss Universe is one of the biggest pageants in the world. The current Miss Universe is Pia Wurtzbach from Phillipines.
